Knowing what is happening behind your motorhome or campervan is vital for driving safety.
However, with such a fun vehicle, the visibility that the vehicle offers is naturally limited.
Visibility is often compromised by the rear sides of the vehicle being completely covered, preventing the driver from seeing what is happening directly behind the vehicle.

Alpine has developed the perfect solution: DME-R1200 - a digital rearview mirror with an integrated 12-inch full HD monitor that displays images from high-resolution HDR cameras mounted at the rear of the vehicle.
Clear video images allow you to see the traffic conditions behind your motorhome or camper and use it like an analogue rear view mirror (when turned off) to check on rear passengers and pets. This significantly increases driving safety and comfort.

The high-quality HDR camera and image processing system ensure clear reversing images with minimal glare in the Alpine Free View mirror, even at sunrise or sunset or when a vehicle with powerful headlights is following at night.

Alpine DME-R1200 is a universal product and requires optionally available vehicle-specific mounting brackets.

See what's behind you - Full HD
The DME-R1200 features a brilliant Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and has excellent brightness for excellent visibility in broad daylight.
The included rear view camera captures every detail with 2 megapixels and can be mounted inside or outside your vehicle (depending on whether you have a rear window or not).

Excellent night vision
High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology ensures optimal exposure and vivid details even at night, so you can see perfectly behind you despite the headlights of other vehicles.
The mirror automatically dims the brightness so as not to distract you when driving in the dark.
Reduce blind spots - more safety
The included rear view camera has a 140-degree lens angle in all directions, significantly reducing blind spots on the left and right rear.
You can fully adjust the viewing angle of your digital mirror by dragging your finger on the screen in the direction you want to adjust.
Also works as a normal mirror.
There is a power button on the front of the mirror housing.
When you press it, the screen immediately turns off, revealing a fully reflective mirror surface that acts as a normal rear view mirror (e.g. to take a quick look inside your caravan while driving or to use the mirror as a make-up aid).
Mounting brackets for many vehicles
The DME-R1200 digital mirror is a universal product and always requires an additional vehicle-specific mounting bracket to mount it on your caravan or van.
Alpine offers a wide range of brackets for all common outdoor vehicles such as Fiat Ducato, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (906 / 907), VW Crafter 2 and T6.1 and others.
