More than 95 percent of all new vehicles today are equipped with an engine start/stop function in order to achieve the CO2 savings targets at EU level with sustainable consumption savings and emission reductions.
In these environmentally friendly vehicles, two different starter battery systems are basically used: AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) and EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery).
The use of the corresponding technology depends essentially on the fuel and CO2 savings that are to be achieved.
AGM technology is used primarily in start/stop systems with the highest energy requirements and brake energy recovery.
The Running Bull AGM battery is the optimal solution, particularly for mid-range and upper-class vehicles, right up to the luxury class.
