The A594DSP has a speaker diagnostics embedded in the amplifier IC as a protection mechanism against short circuits, low impedance or contact with ground.
The output of the IC is also switched off if no speaker is connected.
However, the protection circuit sometimes also works with some speakers with a capacitor connected in series (high pass).
In such a case, this adapter must be installed to bypass this speaker diagnostics.
