Ampire MS508 - Sensor - Radar mit Vorwarnung

The AMPIRE MS508 is an indoor sensor with two high-frequency magnetic fields. It monitors the entire interior of a vehicle. This alarm sensor is ideal for protecting convertibles or for controlling voice modules and advance warnings. The approach of a person is safely reported. The operation of the radar sensor as an acoustic warning is not permitted in the area of the StVZO and is considered noise nuisance.

Why is the "advance warning" not permitted in the area of the StVZO?

If an alarm system reports a break-in attempt acoustically (advance warning), then it is legally a disturbance of the peace and can be punished with a fine. An alarm system may only trigger an alarm for a maximum of 30 seconds when a break-in has actually taken place.

What are the differences between the MS108 and MS508 radar sensor?

• Size: The MS108 is significantly smaller and has only a fifth of the volume of the MS508.
• Range: The MS508 has a longer range than the MS108 and detects people outside the car.
• Alarm triggering: With the MS508 a recognized person is reported immediately, with the MS108 only if it is recognized twice within 1 second. This reduces false positives.

Installation instructions

• The MS508 cannot be connected directly to the 4-pin sensor socket of the CAN3901-3903. The power consumption of the MS508 is too high for that. Connect the power lines of the alarm system directly with permanent positive and the "ground when armed" output of the alarm system.
• If you want to connect several MS508 alarm sensors to an alarm input of an alarm system, you have to decouple each alarm line with a blocking diode (available separately). Otherwise, false alarms can occur due to the mutual influence.
