The CAN/LIN data bus firewall is the first retrofittable immobilizer that communicates bidirectionally exclusively via the car's CAN/LIN data bus. This digital immobilizer protects your car against theft by extending the range of the keyless key, teaching additional vehicle keys, hacking the radio code of the vehicle key and even if your own vehicle key is stolen. Only towing is still possible, because a car thief will never be able to drive away with your car. The brand new WFS400-PRO series is the second generation of the CAN firewall and has been optimized, improved and expanded in many functions compared to its predecessor.
The WFS400-PRO does not require any additional remote controls, transponders or driver cards for control. No flashing LEDs or keypads can lead to conclusions about the hidden installation location of the electronics, which are only 25x20x7mm in size. The system arms itself automatically when the ignition is switched off. To disarm, only existing buttons in your car are required. You determine any 1-15 digit code using the buttons on the steering wheel, navigation or dashboard, for example. To disarm, this key code must be pressed before each journey. As easy as entering the PIN for your debit card.
The new WFS400-PRO sets a new standard with a quiescent current of just 0.3mA, which is >94% lower than its predecessor, the WFS300. In addition, the larger storage capacity means that the software for all vehicles is already installed. The new immobilizers are connected to the engine and interior CAN and, if necessary, to the LIN bus, thus offering you a much larger number of possible buttons for entering the PIN.
In addition to entering the code using buttons, the WFS400-PRO can also automatically disarm itself wirelessly using an optionally available WFST400 radio transponder or via a smartphone app on a compatible Apple iOS/Android smartphone.
Of course, the immobilizers have been tested for electromagnetic compatibility, have CE and E approval and are registered with WEEE and LUCID.
The CAN bus immobilizer WFS400-PRO is always delivered with the software for all vehicles on the compatibility list. If you change vehicles later, we or an authorized dealer can update these vehicles. Please check the compatibility list before ordering to see whether the CAN bus immobilizer is compatible with your vehicle. Please state the make and model of your car when ordering and we will provide you with a vehicle-specific installation plan as a color print.
There may be a DIG1 note in the compatibility list. This DIG1 note informs you whether a resistor or relay may be required for installation in your specific vehicle. If your vehicle type has a DIG1 article, please order it at the same time.
The WFS400, WFS400-SMART, WFS400-LIN, WFS400-PRO and WFS400-SMART-LIN block the vehicle via the car's data bus in the event of theft. This CAN/LIN data bus blockage can generate an error message in the diagnostic protocol. For this reason, avoid unnecessary blocking and testing of the function.
