With this upgrade, existing Alpine Style (X901D-xx) systems purchased between 2015 and summer 2017 can take advantage of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in your vehicle. Instead of a complete change of the entire system, Alpine offers you a separate media box for exchange.

In addition to compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you will receive navigation maps of TomTom maps for 48 countries with free map updates for 3 years after first use, as well as a Glonass and GPS compatible navigation antenna.

You can enjoy Spotify, Internet radio or podcasts while still focusing on the road. Simply connect your CarPlay-enabled iPhone to the USB port of your Alpine system and all functions are immediately available to you.

Android Auto was designed especially for more road safety. With a simple and intuitive user interface, integrated steering wheel control and a new high-performance voice control, it is able to minimize distraction so you can continue to focus on driving. Android Auto automatically brings you useful information and easily organizes the best map views when needed.

TomTom maps:3-year map update for free
A navigation system is only as good as its database:The X902D-EX is equipped with a TomTom map database for a great map coverage of 48 European countries. Within 3 years of first commissioning, you can download free map updates for your Alpine system at alpine.naviextras.com. You can update the cards within the 3 years without restriction, as often as you like. Afterwards you can carry out further updates very inexpensively.

GPS and Glonass compatible
For very good navigation accuracy and fast positioning, many satellite signals are very important. The Alpine system is therefore compatible with all GPS and GLONASS satellite signals. This offers a significantly better selection of necessary satellite signals, especially in urban surroundings with many tall buildings. When navigating with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you can also benefit from this new enhanced compatibility.
