The signal converters from HiFonics impress with their absolutely brilliant sound properties. The result is no coincidence, as the developers placed great emphasis on excellent technical data right from the design stage. And they are truly something to see and hear: Sensationally high signal-to-noise ratios of 115-121 dB with very low distortion factors of 0.00*1% impressively demonstrate that the converters are real highlights. They are designed for connection to conventional car radios that deliver up to 50 W/RMS per channel at 2 ohms.Another special feature of the multi-channel converters is that they have a summing function on board. This circuit is a must for many new vehicles if the music signal cannot be tapped "in one piece" but the frequency ranges for the factory-installed loudspeakers have been electrically separated. A conventional converter would be completely useless here. With the HF-SC converters, on the other hand, the split output signals of the factory system can simply be brought back together by activating the "MIXED" function using a switch. The sophisticated electronics then generate a full-range signal at the outputs, which can be used to optimally control external DSPs or amplifiers.
Thanks to EPS, the converters can also be easily connected to factory radios that have a so-called load detection circuit. As a further feature for interference suppression, "Floating Ground" can be activated via a jumper.
Thanks to the convenient ISO connectors, there is no need to cut the cables behind the car radio. Simply pull the plug out of the radio, adapt the wiring harness of the ISO versions, and you're done. If you don't have an ISO connection on your car radio, you can even adapt to over 100 other vehicles with the optional MPK T-cable adapters and get a complete plug+play system.
