PMX-CAN - CANbus Display Interface Module

The PMX-CAN interface enables the connection between a PMX-8BB marine source unit and a multi-function display system (MFD) using the NMEA2K entertainment standard. You can use this interface to control the basic functions of the source unit directly from selected MFD partners (Multi-Function Display), e.g. B. Playback, pause, tracking of up / down and source changes as well as advanced functions and source-specific options.

Larger marine entertainment systems often focus on a multifunction display unit (MFD) using software that has been configured using the NMEA2K standards. In order to better connect our PMX series of source units to these systems, we created the PMX CAN interface module.

This module has a plug and play design that allows connection to our PMX-8BB digital hideout unit and these select MFD systems. The PMX-CAN translates commands from the MFD system into something the PMX-8BB understands so that you can control the device remotely and get direct information feedback on your audio selection and source.

The interface enables the control of basic and extended radio functions such as power supply, volume and source selection as well as source-specific functions for the radio, Bluetooth, Pandora, SiriusXM and USB inputs. In this way you can make changes and adjustments to the audio system without having to call up the source unit itself.
