Small door speakers or small under-seat subwoofers don't cause the passenger compartment or body panels to resonate as much as comparatively full-size 15" subwoofers. This means that even new luxury vehicles may already have better factory insulation than comparatively simpler or even older vehicles. Since the intended use can vary greatly, HiFonics offers different quality levels depending on the system's power or requirements: With the HiFonics ZEUS 100dB and ZEUS 120dB AluButyl insulation materials, very good results can be achieved for most vehicles. If more powerful audio components are used, or if greater insulation is generally required, the even more dampening AluButyl ZEUS 140dB is recommended. For those who want to make their vehicle sound even louder or simply play it safe, HiFonics recommends the ZEUS 160 dB, which has the highest damping properties. It dampens metal sheets almost perfectly, as it has an even better internal density and an even higher mechanical loss factor.
