An active system adapter amp bypass is used to directly connect factory-installed speakers of an OEM sound system to a retrofit device or to Power amplifiers bypassing the OEM amplifier.
By using this, retrofit installations can be retrofitted.
When connected to a retrofit device, the front and rear speaker outputs of the retrofit radio are used.
Depending on the vehicle and installed OEM sound system Various loudspeakers such as centers or subwoofers can be omitted or must also be operated via additional power amplifier channels.
For high-midrange systems that are fully active at the factory, additional crossovers or multi-channel power amplifiers with appropriate setting options are required.
