Rear view camera adapters, image feeds and interfaces are required to connect an NTSC retrofit camera to an OEM device or an OEM navigation system, or alternatively to replace a factory-installed rear view camera.
Depending on the vehicle, equipment and the connection variant used, the vehicle must also be coded for a rear view camera in preparation for image playback and this must be entered in the installation list.
It may also be necessary to connect an additional +12V reversing signal, a ground contact or other additional cables to the OEM device for image switching.
