The R-C12VW1 is a vehicle-specific media center with a capacitive 9" / 22.9 cm touchscreen display, DAB+ and FM tuner, three USB ports and Bluetooth module for hands-free calling and music streaming. With this Android car radio you can access the Internet via WiFi and WLAN, stream music and films from the web, receive Internet radio or use Spotify. But that's not all: The R-C12VW1 is an open Android system, so Android apps can be installed directly on the infotainer - you have the choice of which features you want to use in your vehicle.

The Media Receiver uses an open operating system based on Android 10, so you can install almost any Android app directly on the multimedia system. The internal 16 GB flash memory offers enough memory for your apps - including your navigation apps. The R-C12VW1 has a very powerful quad-core ARM ® Cortex-A7 (1.3 GHz) processor with 2 GB RAM - therefore all applications and background processes run very stably and smoothly.

Built as an open Android system, you can install and use an Android navigation app directly on the Mediacenter R-C12VW1.

And if you want a permanently installed navigation system, you can simply activate the R-MAPC10 offline navigation system pre-installed on the infotainer for Volkswagen with a license code.

On Air: Optimum FM and DAB+ radio reception

The integrated DAB+ tuner, which offers you numerous functions such as MOT slideshow, station list or DLS text, ensures clear digital radio reception. A powerful FM RDS tuner complements the radio program.

EasyConnection for smartphones

Using the pre-installed EasyConnection app, you can mirror the screen content of your Android cell phone to the R-C12VW1 infotainer via WiFi or USB and operate it via its touchscreen. Apple iPhones are also supported, the mirrored apps can then be operated from the iPhone.

The RADICAL multimedia system for Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda integrates perfectly into models of the Golf 5 and Golf 6 platforms, both optically and technically. The scope of delivery includes a CAN bus interface that connects to the steering wheel remote control, multifunction display, electromagnetic parking sensors (EPS), optical parking system, reverse gear signal, handbrake signal status, vehicle lighting status, air conditioning status, on-board computer, car menu and the connection to active systems.
