Helix CAP 33

The HELIX alternator interference suppression capacitor CAP 33 eliminates interference noise from the alternator, which is transmitted via the voltage supply line of the vehicle electrical system and is noticeable as a speed-dependent whistling. In order to be able to optimally exploit all the possibilities of the product, please read the following installation instructions carefully. We guarantee that each anti-interference capacitor has been checked to ensure that it is in perfect condition before shipment. We recommend that you have the installation carried out by an installation specialist, as proof of professional installation and connection of the CAP 33 is a prerequisite for the guarantee services.

Installation

• Before beginning the installation, remove the negative (-) terminal of the car battery.
• Install your CAP 33 in a suitable, dry place on the body with the smallest possible distance (max. 30 - 50 cm) to the alternator and make sure that the interference suppression capacitor is not significantly heated by other components in its vicinity.< /li>
• First, connect the negative (-) terminal of the CAP 33 to the vehicle ground (usually next to the alternator). Then connect the positive pole (+) of the interference suppression capacitor to the charging connection of the alternator (see sketch on the back). Use at least 6 mm2 cables with eyelets pressed on both sides. Ensure that lines and connections are securely fastened so that no short circuits can occur if the vehicle is shaken.
• Reconnect the negative (-) terminal to the battery after completing the complete assembly of the anti-interference capacitor.
