High-End UltraSphere tweeter
- UltraSphere technology for an unprecedentedly wide, uniform radiation pattern
- Nano-ceramic coating of the titanium dome to minimize resonance phenomena in the audible frequency range
- FEM calculated Dome geometry for optimal power transmission from voice coil to tweeter dome, as well as the best omnidirectional behavior
- Powerful neodymium magnet drive for the best performance
- 0.75mm² connection cable for lossless signal transmission
Thanks to the special geometry of the inverted tweeter dome made of pure titanium, the MT40WS has a very wide radiation characteristic.
This enables an exceptionally good stage image in the vehicle without the loss of sound information, especially when the listening position is not on the axis of the tweeter, which can certainly be the case with vehicle installations.
The powerful neodymium magnet drive guarantees uncompromising performance and the generously dimensioned connection wires ensure loss-free signal transmission.
The most striking feature of the MT40WS, however, is the nano-ceramic coating of the titanium dome.
With its intentionally uneven structure, this increases both the damping and the rigidity of the membrane and thus effectively suppresses resonance phenomena within the material or shifts them to frequency ranges that are inaudible to the human ear.
This makes the frequency response even more linear and enables absolutely coloration-free and at the same time highly detailed music enjoyment.
Crossovers
- Optimized circuit board layout to minimize unwanted interactions between components
- Open housing design for safe operation without risk of overheating
- Exclusively high-quality components for loss-free signal splitting
- High-frequency tweeters and midrange speakers can be individually adjusted in level
A generous circuit board layout guarantees minimal interactions between the components used within the circuit.
The open housing of the crossovers ensures that the system is always in constant operation under full load. reliable protection against overheating.
Thanks to the generally very high quality of all components used and their well thought-out arrangement, the M-Line crossovers are an extraordinarily neutral link in the chain between amplifier and loudspeaker.
The signal is thus only distributed to the individual chassis, without any further loss of sound quality.
Only the highest quality film capacitors are used to process the particularly delicate high-frequency signals.
In the mid and low frequencies, audio frequency electrolytic capacitors with particularly tight tolerances are used. The coils have been optimized in terms of design and specification for their respective application in order to reduce signal distortions to an absolute minimum.
In addition, the listener is able to adjust the crossover setup to their individual preferences.
The sound level of the tweeter (and in the 3-way system also the midrange) can be reduced in various stages.
In this way, the systems can be perfectly adapted to the individual installation situation in the vehicle.
Midrange and woofer chassis
- Nano-ceramic coating to minimize resonances and optimize rigidity
- FEM calculated membranes for a linear frequency response
- 25mm / 38mm edge-wound flat wire voice coils for maximum load capacity
- Gold-coated connection terminals for loss-free connection
- Compact, highly efficient neodymium magnet systems with FEM optimized pole cores for the best power output and maximum, linear stroke of the membrane
- Aluminum baskets in an elaborate design for optimal cooling and load stability
The MM 4008 midrange speaker and the MW 6508 woofer both have nano-ceramic coated polypropylene membranes with optimized membrane geometry.
Thanks to this special geometry, the frequency response of the loudspeakers is optimized, which particularly benefits the midrange range and enables a linear frequency response overall.
The nano-ceramic coating increases the rigidity of the membrane for additional stability under greater stress (e.g. due to high volume levels) and also helps to dampen disturbing resonances within the membrane material.
The MM 4008 midrange driver has a 25mm vertically wound flat wire voice coil, the MM6508 woofer is driven by a 38mm voice coil, which is also made with a vertically wound flat wire.
This makes the best possible use of the magnetic field and reduces non-linear distortion to a minimum, which means that a maximum of undistorted dynamics and level reserves are available in every situation.
Gold-plated connection terminals on the speaker baskets guarantee low contact resistance for optimal connection to the hi-fi chain.
Both speakers have a very compact, high-performance neodymium magnet system with an internal magnet.
The pole core within the magnet system was optimized using FEM technology to maximize the yield of the magnetic field and to keep the magnetic field constant in the area through which the voice coil moves. This technical effort increases the area in which the voice coil moves linearly and brings the sound reproduction to a truly high-end level.
The loudspeaker baskets themselves are made of aluminum and were designed to also function as heat conductors.
The heat that emanates from the voice coil is absorbed by the magnet system and dissipated into the ambient air via the large cooling fins of the loudspeaker basket.
This enables very high load stability in relation to the compact overall dimensions of the loudspeakers.
