The consistent further development of the legendary patented ETON HEXAGON membrane technology: The HEX 165 woofer-midrange speaker offers top performance for sound lovers. The new HEX sandwich membrane is a material composite made of glass fiber fabric and a 3D hexagon grid structure made of aramid. The elaborately manufactured HEX membrane is high-strength, extremely light and excellently damped - the perfect material for audiophile speakers, powerful bass, but still finely detailed.

The sandwich material is glued in a complex manufacturing process, and each individual membrane is also given a specially developed coating by hand. This additional layer prevents disturbing acoustic resonances and is crucial for the rich, full, contoured and exceptionally precise sound from this premium sound system - perfect for high performance in the vehicle, even in long-term use.

The ribbed phase plug made of die-cast aluminum in the center of the HEX 165 contributes to the incredible imaging accuracy and is a real sound performance plus: Due to the open construction, it allows the loudspeaker to play freely and, thanks to its special shape, reduces interference that occurs in the vicinity of the membrane. This means that the finest details are separated even more precisely and can be perceived better - a transparency and, above all, spatial depth that has rarely been seen.

A powerful neodymium drive with optimized magnetic field symmetry enables dynamic, impulse-accurate and controlled playback - from the smallest signal to high levels and bass punches. Any heat generated is dissipated via the torsion-resistant, well-ventilated die-cast aluminum basket, the base plate holes and the phase plug. Details such as the symmetrical wire routing and the resilient suspension reduce wobble effects - in the premium class it is hard to imagine without them.
