QUANTUM QXE SOUND QUALITY SUBWOOFER
The ESX developers have developed completely new cast aluminum baskets for the new QXE woofer series. With these baskets, particular importance was attached to two properties: the greatest possible centering to ensure the optimum stroke of the membrane and very good rear ventilation of the spider and voice coil. This reduces compression when the diaphragm deflects and promotes cooling of the voice coil. In order to further improve the cooling and thus increase the load capacity, the T-Plate was also provided with ventilation holes. The 76 mm (3 “) double voice coil on black anodized aluminum carrier is driven by two powerful 100 oz (Y30) magnets, which ensures an extremely efficient efficiency of up to 89 dB. The 40 mm long voice coil gives the diaphragm a linear deflection of +/- 14 mm and a mechanical deflection of up to +/- 22 mm. As a result, the scooped paper membrane with double-stitched foam surround develops enormous sound pressure and precise-sounding basses.
