Audison APBX 8 AS2 - Gehäusesubwoofer

The active subwoofer Prima APBX 8 AS with 8-inch driver has a special high-performance amplification module that extends all passive box technologies, such as the 2S² (2 Sides / 2 Sounds) design, the plug & play connection block in an ultra compact size.

The amplifier module with 250W RMS power was developed with He-Li technology (high efficiency / low impedance), which thanks to the lack of the DC-DC voltage amplifier achieves the impressive 90% efficiency, very close to the theoretical limit of the D-Class.
The elimination of the voltage amplifier was made possible thanks to the development of the new double coil drivers, which inherit the entire technological background of the Prima subwoofers, but differ in the extremely low impedance.
This function ensures perfect synergy with He-Li technology (High Efficiency Low Impedance) and maximizes the combination of amplifier, loudspeaker and sealed box to obtain low, powerful and crisp frequencies.

The control area is complete and offers optimal control of low-frequency emissions in the cabin. The Butterworth low pass filter at 12 dB / oct. With a variable cutoff frequency (50-200 Hz) can be bypassed if used with an AP-bit processor with pre-output that is assigned to the subwoofer. With the adjustable bass boost control (0 ÷ 6 dB) at 45 Hz, the user can emphasize the reproduction on the lower side of the spectrum.

The high-level input for the speakers on a multi-pin connector simplifies integration with OEM audio systems, while the low-level input for RCA is intended for connection to after-market sources. The automatic on / off function of the subwoofer ART (Automatic Remote Turn-On) can be configured to be controlled by the remote control signal of the source, the voltage change at the high-level input or the audio signal at both inputs. The phase control (0 - 180 °) completes the device.

The SSP connector (Sub Smart Plug) has a single plug & play connector to be able to disconnect the box easily and safely.
