HiFonics ZEUS ZXE (ENTRY):

With these two woofers in sizes 12" and 10", we want to get involved in the RRP price range of 89 to 99 euros Bag grabbed: Because with an incredibly large voice coil of 64 mm (for this price class) (also with the 10 inch), we are now setting new standards.
High resilience is better achieved in this way.
I would also like to mention the paper cone made from long fibers by hand, which still achieves some of the best sound results today.
But it goes even further: there is one beautiful, tooled blue magnet protection and a gasket with the HiFonics logo, a sewn surround doubled in Hifonics blue and stable push terminals (competitors use the cheap soldering lugs here).
All the ingredients ensure that the woofer just feels really good.
Both woofers work very well in bass reflex enclosures and - for THE price - make a lot of fun.
Even medium-sized closed enclosures work well, even free-air applications would work.
The two woofers are therefore so real all-rounders.
That's good, especially in this price range.
Powerful Y35 magnets with a diameter of 140 mm, which drive large 64 mm voice coils, act as the heart of the drive of the HiFonics ZEUS EVOLUTION woofers.
These are ventilated with thermally sensible pole core bores. In addition, so-called "bumped" T-plates (pole plates) ensure an even longer stroke, which reaches up to +/- 17 mm (X-Max).
While pressed membranes are usually used in inexpensive woofers, the ZXE woofers rely on expensive, hand-made paper membranes, which are double-stitched with the beads and are known for their particularly good sound.
All these ingredients make the ZXE- Subs have an extremely good level of efficiency of 92 or 90 dB at 2.83 volts/1m, i.e. even with a small input the basses already manage high volumes.
The Thiele-Small parameters are designed in such a way that with the ZXE woofers strong-sounding bass reflex boxes with decent depth and also medium-sized, closed housings.
Even free-air use is possible.
The Zeus basses also do justice to the HF style in terms of looks: a newly tooled gasket that for HiFonics typical blue magnetic boat and the blue stitched beading membrane seam proudly display the HiFonics brand insignia.

 ZEUS ZXE SUBWOOFER

Price-conscious HiFonics fans will now get their money's worth with the two new ZEUS ZXE subwoofers.
Although this is an entry-level series, no expense was spared in terms of sound-influencing components during development. On the contrary, the woofers can be heard and seen in the truest sense of the word.

 64MM VOICE COIL
