HiFonics ZEUS ZXT (EXTREME)

EXTREME hits the proverbial “nail on the head” here.
In addition to the recently presented Extreme amplifiers with outputs of up to 13,000 watts RMS, the matching EXTREME woofers are now being added to the range.
Available in 10, 12, 15 and even 18 inches, all the important sizes are ready to get brutal pressure into the car.
The newly developed REINFORCED-STRUCTURE-ARRAY SURROUND (short: RSA- surround), which is a distinguishing feature of the woofer.
It brings with it the necessary stability that becomes necessary at extreme levels.
Apart from that, it just looks really cool and gives the series a modern design.
By the way - the HiFonics Extreme logo is even embossed on the bead, which also serves as "copy protection".
From the 12" model upwards, all models have powerful 100 mm voice coils, which are also wound extremely long at 58 mm, resulting in a large deflection and high resilience.
(Note: With a 10" a 100 coil doesn't make much sense, so there's a 76 mm coil in it).
So that the membrane doesn't twist, we use a multi-layer construction.
You consists of carbon at the top and glass fiber at the bottom, with cotton fibers in between.
Glass fiber at the bottom, because carbon would conduct the carbon fibers electrically and we want to avoid the strands producing short circuits. Carbon is one of the most stable materials in the world, but it is also very expensive. Even the dust cap is made of carbon, which provides additional support for the membrane. All in all a dream of a subwoofer.

The triple magnet of the same size in all woofers, protected by a blue boat, is particularly striking the "Reinforced Structure Array" surrounds developed by ZXT woofers, reinforced with vertical elements, also give an idea of how much travel the carbon-reinforced membranes can achieve.
These remain rock-hard and are even comparatively light thanks to the triple sandwich construction .
So that the membranes can also optimally exploit the hub, they are guided by 3-fold Nomex spiders as if on rails.
This ensures that the membranes do not tilt even with extreme performance. < The Zeus subwoofers are also thermally well equipped: the 10-inch woofer has a 76 mm voice coil, and the 12-inch model even has a gigantic 100 mm voice coil.
With an unbelievable 58 mm winding height, the membranes can do such a thing make a linear stroke of +/- 23 mm. The voice coil is made of special pi-CCAR flat wire, which is aluminum flat wire with copper coating, which saves weight and is also heat-resistant up to 240 degrees.
All in all, ingredients that impressively demonstrate the exceptional quality of the woofers.< br /> If you are looking for the ultimate level woofers, you cannot ignore the ZEUS EXTREME series.

This could be the new ZEUS EXTREME woofer. If, for example, you place the ZXT18D2 (46 cm subwoofer) in a corresponding bass reflex housing and drive it with a powerful power amplifier, then you will literally be breathless.
The amount of air this series can move in the vehicle is truly breathtaking. Even the "smaller" ZXT12D2 beats so much in a bass reflex cabinet that it's hard to believe that only ONE woofer is at work here.
