A small addition in the product name makes a big difference - the V EIGHT DSP in the new MK2 version is the logical further development of its already more than impressive predecessor. Similar to the outside to be confused, Audiotec Fischer brought in all of his experience and rethought and optimized the interior in many ways. The result is an 8-channel amplifier with ten processed DSP channels that is unparalleled in many ways.
Plus speed - thanks to ACO
Faster is better - the particularly powerful 32-bit ACO platform takes over all control tasks and ensures significantly more speed, especially for data communication with our DSP PC-Tool software, but also for lightning-fast switching between up to ten possible sound setups. But ACO offers a lot more - fantastic sound effects such as augmented bass processing, StageXpander or RealCenter are implemented as well as a channel-separated input EQ including input signal analyzer (ISA) for easy analysis and compensation of the input signals from OE radios, which are already sound from the factory Setup include.
New signal converters for optimized sound quality
Instead of a combined codec, the new V EIGHT DSP MK2 now uses separate AD and DA converters of the latest generation from Asahi Kasei with a native resolution of 32 bits. This ensures maximum signal resolution in the entire signal path from input to output - and guarantees optimal sound quality.
Virtual channel processing - this is how signal routing works today
The adaptation to modern OE sound systems via an increasing number of signal inputs makes an increasingly complex signal routing in the amplifier unavoidable. Especially when several input signals are mixed together and then broken down again into multi-way systems, conventional routing concepts quickly reach their limits in terms of implementation and usability. Audiotec Fischer's new, multi-level "Virtual Channel Processing" enables, in conjunction with the recognized user-friendly DSP PC-Tool software, to easily map even the most complex system configurations and freely assign the proprietary FX sound features such as "RealCenter" or "Augmented Bass Processing" to be able to.
Extremely sociable
More and more vehicles are equipped with sound systems from the factory that contain a multi-channel amplifier that cannot be replaced by another amplifier. The adaptation to such a configuration not only requires many input channels, but also a particularly wide adjustment range for the input sensitivity. In addition to the six cinch inputs, the V EIGHT DSP MK2 therefore offers eight high-level connections with a maximum input voltage of 4 V to 32 V. In addition, this amplifier is of course also equipped with the latest generation ADEP.3 circuit.

Pure Class GD amplifier technology
The Pure Class GD concept combines the advantages of Class G technology with the principle of a Class D amplifier. This results in an unusually high level of efficiency that exceeds that of conventional Class D amplifiers. The advantages of the Pure Class GD concept with small and medium modulation play out, in that the internal supply voltage of the power stages varies depending on the amplitude of the input signal. In addition, the entire analog signal path in this amplifier is completely symmetrical, which benefits both the distortion factor and the signal-to-noise ratio.
ACO - Advanced 32 Bit CoProcessor
The HELIX V EIGHT DSP MK2 amplifier uses a particularly powerful 32-bit CoProcessor of the latest generation for all internal and external control and communication tasks. In contrast to the 8-bit processor used so far, this results in significant speed advantages not only when switching between different sound setups, but above all in data communication with our DSP PC-Tool software. Another major advantage is the integrated, native boot loader of the CoProcessor.
This enables software upgrades of all components of the integrated DSP, for example to be able to adapt the microcontroller-controlled ADEP.3 circuit to changes in the diagnostic systems of factory radios in the future or to expand the device by additional interfaces.
Thanks to the new flash memory, the ACO also offers space for 10 sound setups instead of the usual two.
Intelligent high-level input ADEP.3
Modern car radios installed ex works are becoming increasingly intelligent with regard to the diagnosis of the connected loudspeakers. The latest generation in particular is equipped with additional monitoring functions so that error messages or even malfunctions can occur when an additional amplifier is connected. The new ADEP.3 circuit (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection Generation 3) prevents these problems without unnecessarily stressing the loudspeaker outputs of the radio at high levels.
Power save mode
The Power Save mode is activated in the basic settings of the DSP PC-Tool software. It allows you to drastically reduce the power consumption of the V EIGHT DSP MK2 (and any additional connected amplifiers) if there is no input signal for longer than 60 seconds. As soon as the "Power Save Mode" is active, the internal amplifier stages of the V EIGHT DSP MK2 and the Rem Out are switched off and thus the power consumption is significantly reduced. The amplifier returns to normal operating status within 2 seconds as soon as a music signal is present at its input. Via the DSP PC-Tool software the
Switch-off delay can be varied or completely deactivated.
Start-stop capability
The power supply in the HELIX V EIGHT DSP MK2 amplifier ensures the internal power supply even in the event of short-term drops down to 6 volts. This ensures that the HELIX V EIGHT DSP MK2 remains fully functional even when the engine is started.

Real Center
The "RealCenter" function is a proprietary algorithm from Audiotec Fischer, which highlights the monaural information of the left and right front channels in order to generate a unique center signal. In contrast to conventional methods, in which only the channels are added up, here the center signal is additionally dynamically controlled by the stereophonic information content of the left and right channels. This means that the center channel does not reproduce a signal if only the left or only the right channel delivers an audio signal. In the case of conventional algorithms, the center channel would only be 6 dB quieter in this case. Audiotec Fischer's "RealCenter" thus enables a unique, wide-ranging stage image - and that is optimal for the driver and front passenger alike! The disadvantages of a conventional center channel, such as an intrusive, narrow spatial sound representation, are finally a thing of the past.
Augmented bass processing
Audiotec Fischer's proprietary "Augmented Bass Processing", consisting of two revolutionary sound features: "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" and "SubXpander". These have been specially developed to dramatically improve the bass reproduction of subwoofers.
"Dynamic Bass Enhancement" ingeniously combines maximum deep bass foundation and high maximum sound pressure - regardless of the type of music you are listening to or the sound settings on the radio. Depending on the input signal, "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" on the one hand amplifies the lower frequency range and on the other hand varies the cutoff frequency of the subsonic filter. The result is a much more powerful, deeper bass reproduction at low and medium volume levels without the risk of mechanically or electrically overloading the subwoofer at high volume levels. It is simply fascinating which bass performance is suddenly possible.
If you want the bass range to be a bit deeper and "blacker", you can also activate the "SubXpander". Here, subharmonic tones are added to the basic tones in the frequency range between 50 and 100 Hz.
StageXpander
Depending on the arrangement of the loudspeakers in the vehicle, a more or less wide stereo stage can be realized in the front seats. If a center speaker is also installed, this sometimes limits the spatial representation of the music. This is the hour of Audiotec Fischer's new "StageXpander" - a sound feature that seems to break the acoustic limits and thus enables a much broader stereo base without negatively affecting the precision in locating voices or instruments. The effect can be adjusted to personal taste in four stages.
ClarityXpander
Would you like more transparency and substance in the high-frequency reproduction? Audiotec Fischer now offers exactly the right tool with the "ClarityXpander".
Correctly dosed (and therefore selectable in three levels) it gives the overtones additional radiance - particularly useful if the original speakers lack the necessary gloss in the high frequency range. The extra tweeter kick is not only available for the two front channels, but also separately adjustable for the center channel. And because a little bit too much in connection with music rich in overtones tires your hearing, an automatic, dynamic control of the additional overtones can be activated here.
