HELIX P ONE MK2
Raw Power - Total Control
Abundant power and enormous stability: Our new P ONE MK2 is the ideal performance package for any subwoofer configuration. With up to 1,800 watts RMS at 1 ohm, the upgrade of our powerful mono amplifier really makes every sub sweat, but thanks to its enormous damping factor, it always remains in control.
High-Res Audio and a fully digital signal chain
The P ONE MK2 is intended for more than just driving subwoofers. With its particularly wide frequency range up to 40 kHz and excellent signal-to-noise ratio as well as the extremely low distortion factor, sound enjoyment in high-res quality is guaranteed, so that it is also suitable as a potent playing partner for heavy-duty bass-midrange speakers.
Thanks to the new, optical digital input a fully digital, interference-resistant signal transmission up to the amplifier is now possible. The input receives digital audio signals with a sampling rate of up to 96 kHz loss-free via fiber optics and converts them back to the analogue level using a 32-bit BurrBrown DA converter of the latest generation. This means that the P ONE MK2 can be perfectly combined with one of our DSP amplifiers with an optical digital output, such as the HELIX P SIX DSP ULTIMATE.
Extremely high power density with particularly compact dimensions
As far as power density is concerned, the P ONE MK2 plays in the top league. In no other HELIX amplifier is so much power in such a compact housing. This unique ratio of power to size is made possible by the Class D concept, which is associated with enormous efficiency and minimal heat development at the same time.
- Class D mono amplifier with extremely high performance of up to 1,800 watts RMS @ 1 ohm - ideal for the combination with all 2 x 2 ohm subwoofers in parallel operation
- High-res capability thanks to an extended audio frequency response to over 40 kHz for unsurpassed sound quality
- Extremely high efficiency and low heat development with very compact dimensions
- High damping factor for maximum speaker control
- Digital, optical signal input in SPDIF format including SPDIF Direct In switch to route the digital input signal directly to the power amplifier for lossless signal processing
- The latest generation of BurrBrown DA converters with 32-bit resolution
- Switchable subsonic filter
- Regulated switched-mode power supply with start-stop capability for extremely stable output power even with voltage dips
- SMD technology (Surface Mounted Device) combines minimum space requirements with maximum reliability
- Input mode switch to adapt the amplifier to the input signal
- Perfectly combinable with HELIX P SIX DSP ULTIMATE amplifier
Special Features
Fully digital
Thanks to the optical digital input of the HELIX P ONE MK2, a completely interference-free and ground-separated signal transmission in the best possible quality up to the amplifier is possible. The input receives digital audio signals with a sampling rate of up to 96 kHz loss-free via fiber optics and converts them back to the analog level using a BurrBrown DA converter of the latest generation.
But that's not all - in order to tickle the last bit of sound performance out of the amplifier and to avoid even the slightest influence of the input stage, the SPDIF Direct In function can be used to route the audio signal directly and without detours to the output stages of the amplifier .
High Resolution Audio
The extremely extended audio frequency response of over 40 kHz enables lossless audio playback of high-resolution audio signals to ensure the best possible sound in studio quality.
Signal converter with native 32-bit resolution
In the optical signal input, the HELIX P ONE MK2 uses a high-quality DA converter of the latest generation with a native resolution of 32 bits instead of the usual 24 bits. This results in unprecedented precision in signal conversion, which further optimizes the sound at lower signal levels.
Start-Stop Capability
The power supply unit in the HELIX P ONE MK2 amplifier ensures the internal power supply even in the event of short-term dips down to 6 volts. This ensures that the amplifier remains fully functional even when the engine is started.
