The Alpine R-Series sound components

The R Series speakers and amplifiers astonish with astonishing levels and unbelievable sound clarity - this ensures an absolutely fantastic sound.
They combine high output power and power handling with a wide frequency response and powerful bass. The R Series includes component and coaxial speakers, subwoofers and now, for the first time, amplifiers.  

Variable power design

The 5th and 6th channels of the R-A90S can be bridged for subwoofer operation. This gives the subwoofer system up to 500 watts RMS at 4 ohms. The R-A90S has a unique power concept so that twice the power is available on the last two channels. This means that you can set the amplifier to deliver 4x 75 watts + 2x 150 watts to drive 2 separate subwoofers. Or 4x 75 watts + 1x 500 watts with the corresponding power for a very powerful subwoofer.  

An amplifier that grows with its tasks

Thanks to the unique variable power concept, the R-A90S can offer different frequency bands on each channel compared to conventional multi-channel amplifiers. The R-A90S can be used as a 3-way active amplifier as well as a 5-channel amplifier. This is possible because it directs the required frequencies to the channels exactly where they are needed.  

Precise sound reproduction

Hear the fine details that make your music so special. The R-A90S works with a very low phase shift across the entire frequency spectrum. This minimizes audible errors in playback and your content remains absolutely true to the original. With a high-resolution frequency response, the R-A90S can reproduce music and sounds with incredible accuracy.  

Exclusive Alpine technology

With selected Alpine components derived from Alpine's premium "X-Series" amplifier series, the R-A90S features a dual "Sierra" equalization process. This corrects signal distortion to the extent that an output signal is as close as possible to the original signal at the input.  

The next step for an optimal system build

For the optimal sound experience, use the integrated bandpass, highpass or lowpass filter to individually power each component in your system and assign frequency bands for accurate and reliable sound reproduction.  

Subwoofer remote control

For direct control of the subwoofers from the cockpit, you can use the Connect RUX-KNOB2 (sold separately) to the R-A90S (channels 5+6).  

High flexibility and small space requirements

Compact and powerful: The new digital amplification circuit enables high output power with a small space requirement. The R-A90S measures just 324mm wide x 273mm long for easy installation. The logo plate can be adjusted to install the amplifier in landscape or portrait orientation.  

Overheat Protection

In addition to Alpine's new intelligent amplifier platform, the R Series amplifiers feature an optimal heat sink and protection circuit. This ensures reliable music playback without shutdowns.  

Low & High-Power speaker signal inputs

The 6-channel RCA/speaker signal inputs accept low and high power signals (connection cable not included). This allows you to connect the R-A90S directly to your original car radio, regardless of the output power of your car radio. The power terminal accepts cables up to 20 mm² (4 AWG).  

Best performance with R-Series speakers 

The R-A90S is perfectly suited to the Alpine R Series speaker systems and subwoofers R-W12D2- and R-W10D2 tuned to ensure a perfect system formation.
